Starting today, Adobe has made the 2022 versions of Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements available to sample or buy. For those who are unfamiliar, the Elements family of products contains simplified versions of the Photoshop and Premiere programs, with the goal of making video and photo editing more accessible to consumers who do not require the full array of tools.
Since the primary products are part of the Creative Cloud subscription service, this is also the only official place to buy a perpetual license of Adobe Photoshop or Premiere.
Adobe Sensei-powered smart capabilities, as well as new methods to bring your ideas to life, are included in Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements 2022. The apps have also been given a makeover that should make them easier to use.
One of the most significant new features in Photoshop Elements is the ability to apply filters to your photographs that turn them into the manner of famous artwork and popular art styles. You can use these styles on the full image or only parts of it. This function is comparable to that of the Prisma app, which was popular a few years ago for applying AI-based filters in a similar manner.
Using Photoshop Objects’ Content-Aware Fill technology to duplicate or extend background elements across a wider frame, a new function can stretch the background of a photograph. Another new feature is the ability to format photographs so that they can fit into a variety of forms. You can, for example, make a photograph appear as though it were reflected in someone’s sunglasses. You can now add brief animations to images and transform them into looping films that you can share online, and you can build new animated slideshow styles with your photos.
You may now export videos from Premiere Elements in a variety of aspect ratios for various social media platforms. You may now export videos in the proper aspect ratio for Instagram, IGTV, and other platforms. There’s also a new auto reframing tool, which keeps your video’s topic in the frame in various aspect ratios. You can also alter a video’s shadows and highlights to make topics stand out more, and you can add new animated overlays to videos.
Aside from brand-new features, Photoshop and Premiere Elements 2022 now include four more guided edits, bringing the total number of guided edits to 87. If you’re not a Photoshop aficionado, these can help you learn the ropes of the app’s functionality.
Adobe Photoshop Elements 2022 and Adobe Premiere Elements 2022 are both available for purchase right now. Individual licenses are $99.99 apiece, or you can get them all for $149.99 if you buy them as a bundle. The programs are compatible with both Windows and Mac OS X.
