Street Fighter 6 Trailers and Release Date
After Capcom announced a cryptic countdown a few days earlier, the first teaser trailer for Street Fighter 6 was released in February 2021, and you can watch it here.
It doesn’t provide as much information and appears to be totally CGI, but it does provide a logo for the game, which is a significant departure from past releases in terms of style. It’s already been the target of a lot of internet mockery.
Thanks to the lengthy gameplay reveal below, we received a more significant look at the game in June 2022, including confirmation that it’ll be released in 2023.
Street Fighter 6 Platforms
Thanks to a now-detailed official website for the game, we know that it will be available on multiple platforms and generations. It will be featured on PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC, but it will also be available on Xbox One and PS4 in a less visually appealing form.
After all, fighting games are all about speed and accuracy, so it’s not too hard to turn down the settings and make sure the game can be played by as many people as possible when it comes out.
Street Fighter 6 Story and Roster
When it comes to Street Fighter, “story” is a bit of a loose term. The characters do have lore and backstories, but the game doesn’t usually put as much emphasis on campaigns and story modes as some of the more dramatic fighting games.
We expect that to stay the same, but there will also be a solo mode called “World Tour” where you can try out different fighters and fighting styles. It looks like it might have a third-person free-roam mode for the first time. This could be a big change for the series. Read More; Dead By Daylight Chapter 24: Everything We Know
At least four of the game’s final characters are known. Ryu and Luke, a DLC character, fight in the game’s first trailer, and Chun-Li and Jamie are shown in the game’s second trailer.
The game’s full cast may have also been leaked after the June 2022 State of Play show, when 2D drawings of the game’s characters seemed to show them all. We’ll have to wait until Capcom officially announces the roster to find out if these are true.

Street Fighter 6 Gameplay
The official website and the gameplay trailer from June 2022 show that the controls and gameplay of Street Fighter 6 will change a little bit, which seems to make things easier.
With the Drive system, you can charge up powerful attacks right at the start of a round. However, using up your charge is a risky move that will leave your character tired for a while.
A new “Modern” control scheme will also let beginners play without having to remember combos and chains, which sounds good for beginners. Experts will still be able to use the “Classic” control scheme. Read Also; Assassin’s Creed’s Ezio Arrives In Fall Guys With New Skin
Battle Hub is an online mode where you can play against anyone and move up the rankings. World Tour is the single-player campaign that we want to see more of. A new system will also add commentary to the game as you fight for the first time. This is meant to make your fights more interesting.
That’s a nice addition that could make both playing and watching Street Fighter 6 games more fun.
