I’m just going to say it now. I think the Samsung Galaxy Book 360 5G is very cool. Because I’m writing each letter, I’m one step closer to giving this beautiful little 5G laptop back to Samsung, and it breaks my heart to think about it.
It’s only 11.5mm thick and weighs less than two and a half pounds. The 13.3-inch screen is Super AMOLED, which makes it look great. It also comes with 5G connectivity for $1,399.99, which isn’t bad for all that. What’s not to love?
Design: The Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360 5G
When you look at the Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360 5G, the first thing you’ll notice is how thin it is. It’s only 11.5mm. This is a very small gadget. The only difference is that this has an Intel processor, so it does have a fan.
When you go out, you’ll have to double-check that this laptop is in your bag because it’s so light that it doesn’t look like it’s there. When I’m on the go, it’s great, and it’s easy to take with me.
Having a very small size and being made of magnesium, it does have some problems with the way it looks and feels. Aluminum laptops feel better than this one, and if you press on the lid, it doesn’t take much to get it to open.

When this laptop is sold, it comes in a color called “Mystic Silver,” which is a way for Samsung to say silver. In fact, the Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360 comes in other colors. I’d love to see them. In the same way that we see phones, I love to see laptops come in more colors than silver. There is, of course, a lot of demand for silver laptops, just like there is for black ones.
This one has a Samsung logo on the left side, which is typical for laptops made by Samsung, as you can see from the picture. Only that stands out from the rest of the design, which is silver-colored all the way around,
This is, in fact, a laptop made by Intel. Thunderbolt 4 is built into it. Thunderbolt 4 is the only one of the three USB Type-C ports that has a Thunderbolt 4 port. Not the one you think either. If you thought that the Thunderbolt port was the only USB Type-C port on the right side, you were wrong. There are two. There are two on each side. The one on the left is closer to the front, and it is one of the two on the left.
When laptops make this, I don’t like it. There are times when we get USB 2.0 and USB 3.2 ports mixed together. If you need a Thunderbolt port, I think you’ll know which one it is. I don’t think people should have to be able to tell the difference between a Thunderbolt port and a USB 3.2 port. The truth is, you don’t spend a ton of money on an external GPU enclosure and a graphics card before you figure out which port it goes into.
As you can see, there isn’t a USB Type-A port. That’s fine with me. I really like how thin and light the form factor is, which I think is really great. It still has a 3.5mm audio jack, and there’s even a slot for a microSD card, so you can add more space. You can put in a nano-SIM card on the right.
Display: It has a beautiful FHD OLED display
I love the Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360 5G because it’s small and light, but that’s not the only reason I like it. It also has a 13.3-inch FHD OLED screen. There are other laptops with OLED screens, but this one isn’t the only one that has one. Many of them, in fact. But for most people, it comes with a pricey 4K OLED option. It comes with an OLED screen on the Galaxy Book Pro 360, which is standard.

With an OLED screen, everything looks a little better. Blacks are darker and the colors are more vivid. In fact, you can try a little test. In a dark room with your laptop, turn off the lights. Then turn off your laptop and close the lid of the case, too. People who are closer to true black have less of that. With this screen, you won’t be able to see the bezel at all.
I did, of course, run my usual display tests, and unsurprisingly, they were very good, as always. It can play back 100% sRGB, 94% NTSC, 96% Adobe RGB, and 100% P3. These are great books, which you won’t find in many other laptops at this price point. You might see it in an entry-level Dell XPS 13, but you won’t get an OLED screen for that price.
When it comes to contrast, this screen has a maximum of 9,650:1, which is way more than you’ll get from any other IPS LCD screen. When it came to brightness, it reached its peak of 282.8 nits, which is a shame. Indirect sunlight, it’s hard to use.
Other than that, the screen can be used with touch, but that should come as no surprise since this is a tablet. It also has an S Pen.
Keyboard and Touchpad
I found the keyboard on the Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360 5G to be quite enjoyable. However, it’s not for everyone.
Indeed, these keys are very small, which is something I’ve seen on other Samsung thin and light laptops. Because they don’t have much depth, I think they need a reasonable amount of force to press. It also looks like this keyboard is very accurate. There are very few mistakes on this keyboard, which is good. I think it’s great.
You can put your finger on the power button to make it work better. Interesting, the button is actually flush with the keyboard deck. It doesn’t make much of a difference to how the user feels. There isn’t an IR camera for facial recognition, though, so it’s nice to have a fingerprint sensor on the phone instead.
The Precision touchpad is quick and responsive, but it’s small compared to some other touchpads on the market. You know what? There’s just not that much room on the deck. In the future, we might see a taller aspect ratio on the screen, which will make the touchpad bigger. This will do for now. Read more; ASUS ROG is releasing a new line of gaming laptops
Performance: uses Intel 11th-gen UP4 processors
However, the Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360 5G runs on Intel’s 11th-generation CPU, which isn’t all that unusual for a tablet. 9W: This is a version of the U-series that fits into a device that is small and light. In the past, it was called the Y-series.
A lot of people don’t like the Y-series because it’s so bad. I wouldn’t even think about opening Photoshop on that old dual-core, 5W phone. I think UP4 is pretty good now that things have changed. I’m happy to say that it’s not just a marketing ploy by Intel, like when it changed the names of its Core m5 and m7 to i5 and i7 and thought we wouldn’t notice.
The Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360 has 15W UP3 processors, according to the specs. This is important because the processors are very powerful. In other words, you’re giving up a little performance in order to get 5G connectivity. If I had to choose, I’d pick the 5G model any day of the week. I think it’s worth it. I used this laptop to edit all of my photos for this review, as well as a few other things. My desire for more power never came up.
When I did tests, I used PCMark 10, Geekbench, Cinebench, and 3DMark.

---|---|---|---|
PCMark 10 | 3,815 | 3,805 | 3,963 |
Geekbench | 1,333 / 4,745 | 1,318 / 4,775 | 1,358 / 5,246 |
Cinebench | 1,269 / 3,403 | 1,167 / 3,555 | 1,235 / 2,854 |
3DMark: Time Spy | 1,115 | 3,191 |
As you can see, the performance is pretty good. It can compete with laptops in the U-series. It does the job. Is 5G better than a better CPU what you want?
For the most part, it lasts for about five hours. I used it with the screen set to medium brightness. People didn’t have a lot of different results, but what they did have was good news.

5G: Is it worth it in the Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360?
Cellular connectivity isn’t cheap to add to a laptop’s configuration. In fact, you can save $200 by getting a Wi-Fi-only model with the same specs but a Core i7 instead of a Core i5, which has the same price. Still, I’m a big fan of any kind of cell service.

People like that they can connect from anywhere. When you add that to the small size and lightweight of this laptop, it’s a sure winner. There is no place you can’t take it. This one came with a Verizon SIM card in it, and I was able to get service everywhere. There was no need to ask for Wi-Fi passwords, sign up for a mailing list to use a public Wi-Fi network, or use a slow and congested hotel Wi-Fi. People can just open up their computers to get online.
In 2022, it’s a wonder that we can stand anything else. There are a lot of people who use their phones all day, but it’s fine for them to go through a lot of steps to connect to the internet on a laptop. This is because phones work this way.
It’s worth noting, though, that this laptop can only use 5G at speeds below 6 GHz. This is true of all Intel-powered laptops that use 5G, as well. mmWave 5G networks will not be able to reach speeds of more than 100 megabits per second, but it hasn’t been proven how useful that is. The waves don’t work inside because even a window can stop them. If mmWave ever turns out to be useful, laptop makers will put in the time and money to make extra antennas for them. Until then, you can expect to see more devices that are less than 6 inches wide.
Conclusion
How should you decide whether or not to buy the Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360 5G? It’s hard to say. Because I’ve used a lot of laptops in the past, this is one of my favorite ones. Getting the Core i7 model with 16GB of RAM might be worth the extra $200. The extra memory can be useful.
Like any other computer, this one isn’t perfect, but it’s not the worst one. It still has a 720p webcam, which is probably its main flaw. Because it’s so small, you can forgive it for not having a lot of battery life. Because there’s no place to keep the pen, it’s easy to lose.
