OnePlus has announced that OxygenOS A.11 for the OnePlus Nord 2 is now available.
The update featured Android security patches until September 2021, a few performance tweaks, and bug fixes, according to a post on the OnePlus Community forums. But that doesn’t appear to be the only change in the update.

New strings have been discovered in a deconstruction of numerous APKs contained in the upgrade (through Oxygen Updater) that indicate to a forthcoming Pac-Man-themed device. In the latest OnePlus Launcher update (v5.2.34), the firm has incorporated a new lock screen clock theme with yellow writing and the Pac-Man ghost’s eyes.
OnePlus has also added a new XML configuration file called default workspace 5×5 pacman.xml to the default homescreen’s “OnePlus” folder, as well as the Pac-Man 256 app (package name eu.bandainamcoent.pacman256).
New fingerprint drawables with components from the popular retro game, as well as a Pac-Man unlock animation, are included in the new Settings APK.

New strings in the SystemUI APK point to a customized Pac-Man Always on Display clock and wireless charging capability.
The stock OnePlus Gallery app (v4.0.307) contains references to a secret sticker that will be unlocked after a 256-minute Warp Charge. While OxygenUpdater was unable to locate the sticker, we think it to be tied to Pac-Man in some way, as it unlocks after “256” minutes of charge.
OxygenUpdater discovered new strings in the upgraded calculator APK (v2.0.16), implying that the Pac-Man-themed device will include more Pac-Man-themed content concealed throughout the standard apps.
At this time, it’s unclear which of OnePlus’ forthcoming devices will be given the Pac-Man treatment. The Snapdragon 778G SoC, according to a new string in the Settings APK, would make it a mid-range handset in the Nord series. We’re not sure if this is a placeholder or not right now.
