In God of War: Ragnarok, Kratos, and Atreus will go back to the Old Norse worlds.
God of War Ragnarok is still scheduled to come out this year. It will be the sequel to God of War, which was one of the best PS4 games ever made. So far, we’ve only seen a trailer with some game footage.
The game footage shows that it will take advantage of the PS5’s power. This time, it looks like Kratos and Atreus will go to more of the Nine Realms from Old Norse mythology. While you’re waiting, we recommend going back to God of War and playing it on the PS5, since the new features can make the classic adventure even better.
Again, there hasn’t been a lot of news about the game, but here’s what we do know about God of War: Ragnarok so far.
Release Date
God of War Ragnarok will come out on November 9, after being pushed back from 2021 and mostly being ignored by Santa Monica Studio.
After a strong start to the year, there don’t seem to be many PS5 and PS4-only games coming up. But now fans of God of War and the PlayStation can breathe easy because this fall they’ll be able to play a big game.
Trailer and Story
After waiting for a long time, the first official trailer finally came out at the PlayStation Showcase 2021. It shows how an older Atreus and his father, Kratos, get along. A lot of the characters from 2018’s God of War are also back, as are the Norse gods Thor and Tyr.
But this news lets us know that the next God of War game will be a direct follow-up to the one that came out in 2018. Warning: This game’s ending sets the stage for the Old Norse story of Ragnarok. Thor, the Norse god of thunder, shows up at Kratos’ house at the end, presumably to get back at him for killing his sons and his brother Baldur.
So, God of War Ragnarok will probably follow Kratos and his son Atreus, who is actually the trickster god Loki, as they travel through the Nine Realms. Most likely, Svartalfheim, Asgard, and other places will be among these.
We can also expect the combat to be a satisfying mix of chaotic and heavy, likely with more depth thanks to the DualSense controller’s advanced haptic feedback. Read More; Street Fighter 6: Everything we know about SF6
God of War Ragnarok PS5 and PS4
A cross-platform game, God of War Ragnarok will be released on the PS4 and PS5. The degree to which Santa Monica Studio can scale the game for both consoles will determine whether this degrades the visual quality of the game. But the early game footage is excellent.

God of War looked excellent on the PS4, so we can anticipate the sequel to look decent as well, especially if it has several graphical add-ons made possible by the PS5. Read More; Sniper Elite 5 Review: Another Sure-Fire Hit
Due to a global chip shortage that impacts the supply of gaming consoles and graphics cards, it is currently exceedingly difficult to find a PS5 replenishment. People who haven’t yet purchased a PS5 might benefit from God of War Ragnarok being made available across PlayStation generations.
Outlook
If God of War Ragnarok does launch this year and continues the action and storytelling of its predecessor.

It’s a hefty ask, but Santa Monica Studio has a lot of talent. The business could truly wring a lot of power out of the PS5 as a first-party Sony developer to make God of War Ragnarok a visual feast. We’re interested in seeing where the story goes next and learning more about the Nine Realms, even if that doesn’t happen. However, we shall exercise caution when playing God of War on the PS5 because it is making the wait for Ragnarok intolerable. Read More; How Long Does It Take To Beat Assassin’s Creed Origins?
