Full Stack Website Developer– Job Description
The Full Stack Website Developer will work with the Marketing and IT departments to create dynamic brand-building websites that engage and attract customers. This position requires a combination of programming skills (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP). The candidate should have a strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems. Experience with responsive and adaptive design is strongly preferred. Also, an understanding of the entire web development process, including design, development, and deployment is preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop web applications/pages using current CSS3, PHP and HTML5 standards.
- Provide technical and creative advice during product development stages.
- Identify and troubleshoot WordPress issues quickly.
- Possess expert knowledge and capabilities of creating WordPress custom themes and plugins.
- Create websites and web applications for a variety of brands.
- Test functionality of websites in various browsers for quality assurance.
Job Qualifications:
- Be a motivated, self-starter, passionate about delivering perfect websites in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience building complex, responsive, high-traffic websites with WordPress and custom PHP.
- Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications.
- Be able to code WordPress themes and plugins from scratch.
- A passion for web design and a drive to stay current with the latest trends and technology.
- Ability to communicate and work constructively with team members.
- Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills.
- Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities within strict time constraints.
- Extreme attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Portfolio with a range of samples that demonstrate relevant work or projects.
- Strong front end skills including solid experience with HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript & jQuery.
- Understanding of W3C standards and general design principles.
- Have strong HTML, PHP, and CSS skills.
- Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages.
- Knowledge of primary SEO elements.
- Understanding of best practices for user experience.
Preferences:
- Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML).
- General understanding of Windows Server environment, IIS6 or newer.
- Experience with MySQL databases.
