Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 tips and tricks: Warzone 2.0 is finally here, a long-awaited sequel to the original Warzone, which saw over 100 million players from all over the world drop into the game to duke it out COD-style. What better way to pass the time than with a free-to-play battle royale game based on an already successful franchise?
While there have been some significant changes to the gameplay, many of the fundamentals remain the same. Some of the tips below are therefore things that will still help if you’re going to drop back into Caldera when it returns.
We’ve dropped into the zone more times than we can count, practicing and teaming up to figure out some useful strategies and tips for your sessions. We’re even winning a few games, say it quietly. So, here are our top tips for improving your COD Warzone 2.0 gameplay.
Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 Tips and Tricks
1. Check the map before you drop
At the start of a match, your choice of landing zone is critical. You can bring up the map screen for your match as soon as you see the cutscene of the plane starting up and see where the shrinking gas circle will begin. This can assist you in determining where people are more likely to land and where you’ll need to aim as it approaches.
It’s critical that you can tailor your tactics on this front as your confidence grows. If you don’t want to be involved in chaotic gunfights, consider going further afield to obtain some solid equipment. Alternatively, take the “trial by fire” approach and practice fighting in crowded areas such as the ever-popular Observatory. It’s entirely up to you, but make sure you choose a squad spot. This is the most Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 tips and tricks you need to understand.

2. Don’t hoard your cash
At the heart of Warzone is a cash economy. You’ll earn money for running around and more for completing contracts (more on those later). Some matches will have very few, while others will have you swimming in it in no time. In any case, don’t keep your money for too long.
There are no bonuses for retaining cash in the battle royale modes, so it’s really only there for you to use at the Buy Stations marked on your map. These allow you to purchase a variety of killstreaks such as Precision Airtsrikes and Mortar Strikes, as well as additional armour plating and weapons. Our advice is to be proactive in purchasing these rewards; after all, you can’t take the money with you, and a well-timed UAV can easily win you a gunfight.
However, if your teammates are dying frequently, you should keep $4,000 on hand in case they fail to win their redemptive Gulag fight.
3. Loadout drops are risky
Cash is important, but before you go to a Buy Station, you should know what your priority should be. As previously stated, killstreaks can be extremely beneficial, but the absolute top priority in your squad should be arming yourself with primary weapons. These are your custom guns, which can only be purchased once.
In this context, it’s like slipping on a glove, allowing you to get in the zone with a gun you’re familiar with, and all of the best players use it to dominate. If you can, follow suit!
Loadout drops with perks are now available, but they are very expensive, costing $8,000 per player on your team. Getting perks with your loadout may not always be worth the extra cost.

You can also get your loadout from airdrops that appear in the middle of a game. These are hotly contested, however, because the boxes now work for all squads.
While you are free to experiment with perk packages, we would strongly recommend starting with one that includes Fast Hands by default, as this will make weapon swapping and reloading faster. You might also want to take an Overkill class to get two of your favorite guns at the same time.
4. To drop faster, pop and cut your chute.
Players figured out a sneaky way to get an early advantage in a match almost as soon as the first Warzone went live. You can pop your parachute whenever you want to glide down more slowly as you fall from the plane over the map. People discovered, however, that you can cut your cord and re-pop your parachute as many times as you want. Most players now take advantage of this.
As you fall, popping your chute and then cutting the cords gives you a short speed boost and propels you forward more aggressively, allowing you to cover more ground and arrive at your desired landing zone faster.
5. Disburse your resources
While you can play Warzone 2.0 in Solos mode, the goal is for the majority of players to join a squad in the main battle royale mode. As a result, we would encourage you to think tactically as a squad. Drop some plates for your squadmates to pick up if you’re sitting with full armor and three spare plates while they’re down to nothing.
The same is true for cash and ammo; for example, a loadout marker is often only available by pooling your funds. In the long run, this will encourage more selfless play.

6. Ping everything
Warzone 2.0, like every other battle royale game released since Apex Legends, has a ping system that allows you to communicate with your squadmates. It allows you to show them what you’re looking at or where you want to go. This is a simple tip, but use it whenever possible, and map it to a button you’re familiar with to make it easier. The more you share, the further your squad will progress. Another great Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 tips and tricks.

7. Watch for flares
You may not have realized it, but there are two situations in Warzone 2.0’s Battle Royale mode that cause a signal flare to be launched into the sky for nearby players to see. One is starting to broadcast at an Intel contract point, which causes a white flare to be sent up, while the other is buying back a squadmate, which causes a red flare to be sent up.
Keep an eye out for these signals as you move around the map, and you might be able to get the jump on a team that is camping at a capture point or waiting for an unlooted squadmate to rejoin the fray.
