The BMW i4 is a high-tech electric car that looks like a Gran Coupe. Since 2021, BMW has made the i4 an option for drivers who want a fast car. The elegant sedan is a great example of how BMW’s high design standards and EV standards work well together to make it a strong choice in the very competitive EV market.
The BMW i4 is the first all-electric version of the popular 4-Series. Instead of a gasoline engine, the i4 is powered by an electric motor. The i4 is meant to be a high-performance EV that can compete with electric sedans like the Tesla Model 3 in terms of range, style, and technology.

BMW went for a safe design for the i4 by making it look like the current 4-Series Gran Coupe. The i3 will be BMW’s top-of-the-line electric vehicle, not the i4. The i3 didn’t do well on the market, especially in North America. This is mostly because American drivers don’t like hatchbacks and don’t want to buy or drive them. Tesla filled this gap right away by making the Model 3, which has a more traditional look and better performance. BMW did some research for the i4 and built the electric car on the same platform as its popular Gran Coupe series. This makes it hard for BMW fans to look away. The BMW i4 comes in two different trims: the i4 eDrive40 and the i4 M50. The i4 eDrive40 has a range of up to 301 miles when driving in ideal conditions, while the i4 M50 has a range of up to 270 miles. The i4 has a battery that can hold as much as 81 kWh. Even though it’s clear that the i4 is a well-designed EV, how many ways are there to charge it? Since there aren’t many charging stations around the world yet, EVs should have more than one way to charge. BMW has a charging programme for the company’s electric vehicles. This programme, called BMW Charging, gives drivers different ways to charge their electric vehicles at home or in public.

BMW Offers Three Charging Options
BMW designs its plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles to work with all three types of charging: DC Fast Charging, Level 1 Charging, and Level 2. Drivers may easily charge their cars at home using the Level 2 charger, the BMW Wallbox. The Wallbox provides quick charging whenever needed and can be put in the garage.
With this technique, drivers can charge their cars from zero to 100 percent in less than ten hours. Drivers can also use the Flexible Fast Charger that is included with every BMW i4 purchase. It is a portable gadget made to work with any 120V or 240V outlet, allowing for on-the-go charging. The rapid charger can charge an electric vehicle from zero to 100 percent in about ten hours when hooked into a 240V outlet. Read More; Tesla Hatchback: Flag $25K price, 2023 release
BMW rewards its customers with two years of free 30-minute charging sessions with Electrify America, which operates the largest open DC fast-charging network in the United States at the moment. According to BMW, the i4 eDrive40 and the i4 M50 can travel 108 miles and 88 miles respectively after a 10-minute charge on a DC fast charger. BMW i4 owners will have access to three charging options, making it simple to fill off their EV battery both at home and while driving.
