The floodgates have opened, and there are a lot of new things coming out of this year’s CES. At CES 2022, ASUS ROG has shown off a lot of new gaming laptops, monitors, and other things that people can use to play.
There is a new ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo 16, a new Zephyrus G14, and a new ROG Flow Z13 tablet, but there are many more.
ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo 16
There’s the new ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 for 2022. New: This is the ASUS dual-screen gaming laptop with a second half-height screen above the keyboard that gives users more information and controls at a glance. This is a new version of ASUS’ dual-screen gaming laptop.

There’s no need to forget about the main screen this time. ASUS and BOE have worked together to make a new dual-spec screen. Dual-spec means that the screen can change its specs based on what you need. At Full HD resolution and 240Hz, or 4K resolution and 120Hz, the screen is the same. It’s possible to work with the higher pixel density for productivity and switch to the faster refresh rate when you play games, for example. We also have standard miniLED displays that come in Quad HD+ (2560×1600), which are more common. The refresh rate on these displays is also faster than on the other displays. This screen also works with VESA DisplayHDR 1000.
How does it work? The AMD Ryzen 9 6980HX processor and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti laptop GPU can be found inside the Zephyrus Duo 16. All of this is kept cool by an improved cooling system that includes new liquid metal thermal solutions. In the end, there are six stereo speakers that play sound with Dolby Atmos support and high-res audio. If you want to type, the keyboard has 1.7mm of travel, and each key has its own RGB lighting. This all fits into a smaller case than last year.
Zephyrus G14 by ASUS ROG.
Next, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14, which was a well-liked laptop when it first came out, is getting a makeover for 2022. With AMD SmartShift, the new graphics card can run at up to 105W, which is enough power for thin and light laptops like this one. This is the new graphics card for thin and light laptops like this one. ASUS is using liquid metal to keep these parts cool and improve their performance. Having the most recent AMD processors also means that you can use DDR5 RAM, which comes with up to 1TB of SSD storage.

Like the Zephyrus Duo 16, the Zephyrus G14 has a new Nebula display with a Quad HD resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It also has a 3ms response time, like the Duo 16. Also, the screen has 500 nits of peak brightness and covers 100% of DCI-P3, which makes it easy to work. It also works with Dolby Vision and Adaptive Sync, and it’s been approved by Pantone. There’s also a Full HD 144Hz panel option with 400 nits of brightness, which is brighter than last year’s model, but not as bright as this year’s (which had 350 nits).
The new Zephyrus G14 has the same AniMe Matrix display on the lid as previous models. It has 14,969 holes and 1,449 miniLEDs to make a pattern you can make yourself. When you buy a laptop, this is one of the most personal ways you can make it your own.
ROG Strix G and Strix SCAR
In 2022, the ASUS ROG Strix line is getting a makeover with new ROG Strix SCAR and ROG Strix G laptops. These laptops are very similar, but there are a few important differences, such as the processors.
If you buy the ROG Strix SCAR, it comes with an Intel Core i9-12900H processor. If you buy the ROG Strix G, it comes with an AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX processor. They both have up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti GPU with 150W of power for graphics. Aside from DDR5 RAM and PCIe Gen 4 SSD compatibility, ASUS also said that both models could run on them.
Both laptops come in either 15-inch or 17-inch sizes, and both have the same display options, too. That means the 15-inch laptops let you choose between Full HD 300Hz, Quad HD 165Hz, or Quad HD 240Hz (only on the Strix SCAR) displays. The 17-inch laptops come with either Full HD 360Hz or Quad HD 240Hz displays on both models, but only the Strix SCAR has a Quad HD 240Hz screen. All of the displays can show Dolby Vision and have a response time of 3ms, which means they can react quickly. There are four stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos support on all Strix laptops. They also have two-way noise canceling.
The ASUS ROG Strix models have a 90Wh battery and can charge at 100W through USB Type-C, so you can get some power back with a small charger. There will still be a need to use the charger that came with your phone at home.
ASUS ROG Flow Z13
In ASUS’ words, the ROG Flow Z13 is “world’s most powerful.” Because this is likely the only gaming tablet in the world, we’re not going to question ASUS’ claim that it is. However, that’s not to say that this device doesn’t have a lot of power inside of it. If you want, you can get an Intel Core i9-12900H processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti graphics card. This means that it can run just about any game you want right now. It also comes with LPDDR5 memory, which will help it run faster. As a tablet, airflow is less likely to be blocked when it’s on its kickstand. This means that cooling should work even better than with traditional laptops, which are more likely to get hot. A vapor chamber system and liquid metal are also being used by ASUS to keep it from overheating while it is running.
If that isn’t enough, the Flow Z13, like the Flow Z13 convertible, can be used with ASUS’s ROG XG Mobile external GPU, just like the convertible. At CES 2022, there will be a new model of the ASUS ROG XG Mobile. It will have an AMD Radeon RX 6850M XT graphics card, and it will be called the ROG XG Mobile. This is a different model than the one with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080, but both are still available if you want to buy one.
Aside from that, the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 has two display options: 4K at 60Hz or Full HD at 120Hz. This means that both screens have 500 nits brightness, Dolby Vision support and adaptive sync. The 4K panel is rated for 85 percent of DCI-P3 color coverage, while the Full HD panel is rated for 100% of sRGB coverage.
ROG Swift monitors
People who play games on their computer also got a few new ROG monitors from ASUS for the year 2022. Here’s a quick look at the new ROG Swift OLED big-format gaming screens: A 42-inch and a 48″ version of these monitors are both available. They have the same OLED benefits as the other models, like a 1,000,000: 1 contrast ratio, 0.1ms response times, true blacks, and vivid colors. Plus, they cover 98 percent of the DCI-P3 color space and have a Delta E 2. 4K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate are also in there, as well.
To keep things cool, ASUS has come up with a unique way to keep things cool even when they’re at their brightest. ASUS is also using an anti-glare texture to stop the reflections that can happen with OLED screens. Read more: Apple Watch Series 7 with Apple Fitness+

You can play 4K 120Hz games on consoles and PCs with HDMI 2.1 support. There are also HDMI 2.0 ports and DisplayPort 1.4 ports, so you have a lot of options.
ROG Swit 360Hz PG27AQN is on the more traditional side of things, and it has a resolution of 360Hz. This monitor is for people who play e-sports and need quick reactions, so it has a refresh rate of 360Hz. In fact, this is one of the first 1440p monitors with a 360Hz refresh rate, along with a few others that NVIDIA announced today. The ROG Swift PG27AQN can also use NVIDIA Reflex to cut down on system latency and improve response times even more.
ASUS says it’s using a new type of liquid crystal that makes the screen respond faster than other LCD monitors. As a bonus, it also has a dual-layer voltage driver that moves the liquid crystals around, giving it a smoother and more consistent image than a single-layer voltage panel would.
Other ROG hardware.
For the rest of the news, there’s a lot. In a press release, ASUS announced the new ROG Fusion II 500 and 300 headsets, which have virtual 7.1 surround sound and a Quad DAC. The ROG Fusion II 500 can connect to 3.5mm, USB Type-C, and USB Type-A ports. The Fusion II 300 doesn’t have a 3.5mm jack. It also has a game chat volume control, which changes the balance of game audio and chat while you’re playing games. If you buy the 300 model, you can’t get that kind of thing either. Both of them have RGB lighting, though.

It has a new ROG Strix Flare II and a Flare Animate II. This is more impressive than the first keyboard to use the AniMe Matrix technology, which was used in the Zephyrus G14 laptop, because it was the first keyboard to use this technology. There are some LEDs in the top-right corner of the keyboard that you can use to make any pattern you can fit in that space. Other than that, the keyboard has a polling rate of 8000Hz, ROG NX mechanical switches that can be changed, and a switch stabilizer to keep the keys from moving. A diffuser on the wrist rest lets the lighting go all the way to the bottom of the wrist rest.
Switches can be changed, the AniMe Matrix can be changed, and the RGB light diffusion in the wrist rest of the standard Strix Flare II is not there, but it is the same in every other way Instead of the AniMe Matrix panel, you get a ROG logo that you can make any color you want.
