Everything is permissible; nothing is true. Ezio is joining Fall Guys with a brand-new cosmetic, bringing Assassin’s Creed into the Total Wipeout-style battle royale frenzy, as long as Mediatonic has the license rights.
This comes just in time for Fall Guys’ big reveal, which will take place on June 21 on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. It doesn’t end there, though. Fall Guys, like Knockout City, is going free-to-play, which means that anyone can pick up a copy and play with their beans as they slap each other around in a frenzied game of jump, duck, and weave through cartoonish obstacle courses.
But there’s a catch—it’s being delisted on Steam, making it an Epic Games Store exclusive on PC for the foreseeable future. You can still play it if you own a Steam copy, but you won’t be able to pick it up on the platform after June 21. Regardless, Ezio will drop with the next Season Pass on that date, marking Fall Guys’ transition to free-to-play. Read more: A History of Knights of the Old Republic Rumors
Funnily enough, this has been teased since as far back as September 2020, with Fall Guys sharing an Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood crossover fan art. Nearly two years later, it’s a reality—who knows how long it’s been in the works, eh?
Fall Guys’ season pass is essentially a battle pass, with a premium and free version. Ezio will likely be a part of the paid season pass which retails at $8, although completing a season pass will net you enough to buy the next one when it rolls around.
