The Apple Watch 8 should come out this fall. Compared to the Apple Watch 7, it might have new features, more models, and other improvements.
Since the first Apple Watch came out, the company has released a new version every year. So it’s likely that Apple will make another watch after the Apple Watch 7. We haven’t heard any big leaks as we did about the iPhone 14, but there are a few rumors and tips starting to come out.
As far as we know, Apple is still planning to give the Apple Watch 7 a new look with flat edges. It could also add a new health sensor to the Apple Watch 8, since the hardware changes between the Apple Watch 7 and Apple Watch 6 didn’t do much for health.
If you want to know what’s coming next, you should keep an eye on these early rumors about the Apple Watch 8 and watchOS 9. Apple Watch 8 Release Date
Based on when the last Apple Watch came out, we expect the next one to come out in September 2022.
Since the Apple Watch 8 is likely to come out around the same time as the iPhone 14, which we think will come out on September 13, we’d recommend waiting to see what the next-generation Apple Watch models have to offer before getting a new one. Apple Watch 8 Price

In the same way, there is no information about the price of the Apple Watch 8 right now. But Apple has kept its prices the same for years, so we expect that the price of the Apple Watch 8 will be the same as the price of the Apple Watch 7. The Apple Watch 7 starts at $399 for the 41mm model. The 45mm model and cellular connectivity will cost you more. Design
The Apple Watch hasn’t changed much in how it looks since the first model came out in 2016. However, the iconic squircle was changed with the Apple Watch 7 to make room for bigger screens in an ever-so-slightly curvier body.
Even though it’s still early, there are some rumors about the Apple Watch 8. The most recent one is an image that is said to be a render of the Apple Watch. We can’t be sure that this picture is real, but if it is, the Apple Watch 8 won’t look much different from the Apple Watch 7.

But the Apple Watch 8 could look like newer iPhones with flat edges if it gets the upgrades that were said to be coming to the Series 7. When leaker Jon Prosser shared a set of renders earlier this year, people’s hopes grew for an Apple Watch with flat sides. Prosser was not sure when the big design change would happen. He said that his sources might have told him about a different future Apple Watch, not necessarily the Apple Watch 7.
Another set of renders that came out before the Apple Watch 7 was announced showed that the new design would have flat edges. The CAD renders, which 91Mobiles says were leaked, hinting at a flat design for everything, including the screen.

Rumored Features
In a January episode of Power Up, Mark Gurman speculated that the Apple Watch 8 might not include any new health-tracking sensors compared to the Apple Watch 7. (opens in new tab). Following up on this story, Gurman claimed in April that blood pressure monitoring is now scheduled for the 2024 Apple Watch, while blood glucose monitoring is even further down the company’s smartwatch pipeline. However, not in the way we anticipated, Gurman said more subsequently, “skin temperature reading could actually materialize with the Apple Watch 8.” Initially, skin temperature could be used to predict fertility. Perhaps upcoming iterations will support conventional wrist-based body temperature monitoring.
What will the alleged body temperature sensor in the Apple Watch 8 do? This is what we do know.
Since the larger Apple Watch 7 sizes were prioritized when the Apple Watch was released in the autumn, we think the internals of the 2022 model will be improved. Only time will tell.
Battery Life
If you don’t use many of the primary features, the Apple Watch 7 can last up to two days on a single charge. It typically has an 18-hour battery life. We’re hopeful that with the Apple Watch 8, things will change. It can be annoying to have to charge a wristwatch pretty much every day to day and a half.
However, Bloomberg reporter and frequent Apple tipper Mark Gurman claim that the Apple Watch 8 may feature a new low-power mode.
Gurman didn’t go into much detail, but he did mention that the Apple Watch 8 might employ the S8 chip, which is expected to have identical specifications to the S7 chip now in use. Knowing Apple, we can be sure that some hardware and software improvements will be made to increase power efficiency and battery life. It appears that the release of an “all-new” Apple Watch CPU will have to wait until 2019.

Rugged Apple Watch, Apple Watch SE 2
There’s a chance that it will be released as a cheaper follow-up to the Apple Watch SE, which will be two years old by September 2019. Find out everything we know about the rumored mid-range watch in our guide to the Apple Watch SE 2.
Mark Gurman says that the Watch 8 and a new Apple Watch SE, both with better activity tracking and new chips, could come out at the same time. The Apple Watch SE 2 could start at $279 and have better specs than the best Apple Watch for those on a budget right now.
There’s also talk of an Apple Watch that’s more durable and made for people who like to do sports outside. Whether or not it is one of the best sports watches depends a lot on how long the battery lasts and how well the GPS works. There were rumors about a rugged Apple Watch before the Apple Watch 7 came out.
Gurman says that the fact that watchOS 9 can track swimming, biking, and running is especially useful for extreme sports watch. A tough Apple Watch 8 could be good for people who do more than one sport, like triathletes.
